What is Hyaluronic Acid?

Hyaluronic acid is present in every body and fulfills various functions. One of these functions is to ensure sufficient skin resilience and suppleness. The hyaluronic acid attracts moisture, so it accounts for an important share of the volume present.

As the skin ages, hyaluronic acid breaks down more quickly, but less hyaluronic acid is also produced by our own body. The result is sagging skin, sometimes with many fine wrinkles. This is also the reason that many anti-aging creams contain hyaluronic acid.

With fillers, we help restore volume and strengthen subcutaneous connective tissue, or highlight a specific facial aspect. For this purpose, we use hyaluronic acid, which is automatically broken down by the body after a while. We only offer A-brand fillers.

Everything you need to know about hyaluronic acid fillers
How quickly will I see results?
Injections with fillers give immediate results and are optimal after 4-6 weeks.
How long will the result of the filler remain visible?
With fillers, the effect is visible for 12 - 24 months, depending on the type of filler you have been treated with. Thereafter, the hyaluronic acid will slowly break down and the treatment can be repeated.
Is a filler painful?
A hyaluronic acid filler treatment is not experienced as painful by most people. Our filler treatments already include standard anesthesia in the fillers, making the treatment almost painless. If you wish, we can apply anesthetic cream, or prescribe it to you, so that you can first apply it at home, prior to your appointment. Ask about this when you make an appointment with us.
Is there downtime or a recovery period?
In general, all treatments are 'lunchtime treatments'. This means that you don't have to take the day (s) off. The risk of a bruise or redness is low and, as a service, we can apply mineral make-up so that you leave the clinic without anyone noticing anything. The doctor will also give you instructions on how best to care for the treated skin at home.
What do fillers cost?

For us, hyaluronic acid treatment is part of a personal treatment plan. During the intake, we will look with you in the mirror at the entire face, neck, décolleté and your actions and discuss your wishes and our options.
