For whom is Profhilo suitable?

This treatment is suitable for anyone dealing with skin aging. This means it could be anyone from the age of 30 up. However, it is also possible to boost your skin preventatively to slow down the aging process. This is because the amount of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid in the skin decreases after the age of 30, which causes skin to sag.

What is the price of a Profhilo treatment per zone?

The price of a Profhilo treatment is €350.- per zone or treatment area. This includes 2 millilitre of fluid per session.

What is zone?

Zones for a Profhilo treatment are: face, neck, décolleté, and hands.

Before the treatment

Everyone who opts for a Profhilo treatment first receives a free consultation with the cosmetic specialist or consultant. During this consultation, we will assess whether these treatments will fulfil your wishes. When you and the specialist agree on the best course of action, a treatment can be scheduled.

Normally, you do not need to take special measures before or after the treatment. To be sure, we suggest taking the following pre- and aftercare measures:

Avoid doing any sports or heavy physical labour until 12 hours after the treatment;
No massages or other beauty treatments on the treated area during the first 48 hours after the treatment;
Avoid steam baths and saunas during the first 48 hours after the treatment;
Do not fully expose your skin to the sun during the first 48 hours after the treatment. If you are exposed to sunlight, use a sunscreen product with SPF 50.
In the 24 hours before the treatment, we recommend you refrain from consuming alcoholic beverages.

Are there any risks?

No. Apart from a minor bruise or a small swelling that may arise from the injections, this treatment poses no risks. The minor bruise or swelling will disappear soon after the treatment. This is because the active substance in the Profhilo treatment, hyaluronic acid, is naturally present in the body.

Will there be any bruising after the treatment? What is my ‘down-time’?

This is the same as with filler treatments. There may be some bruising and swelling that will disappear after 24-48 hours. It is possible that a minor bruise can take a bit longer than that.

Why choose Profhilo? What is the difference with other hyaluronic acid fillers?

Profhilo® is a novel type of filler. It is the first BDDE-free, stabilised, and injectable product based on hyaluronic acid (HA) to treat slackening of the skin.

With one of the highest concentrations of HA on the market (64 mg / 2 ml), it not only stimulates and hydrates the skin, it also regenerates any aging and sagging skin tissue.

Profhilo® yields incredible results on its own or in combination with other aesthetic treatments that are currently on the market. As a stabilised product, Profhilo® remains in the skin for about 28 days. During this period, 4 types of collagen and elastin are stimulated by the slow release of HA. The stimulation results in significant skin tissue improvement.

Number of treatments

Two treatments with a 4-week interval are generally sufficient to show effective results. Of course, you may choose to undergo a third treatment after the first two, if that is your personal preference.

After how many months should the treatment be repeated?

For best results, the second treatment should be scheduled after a month. Consecutive treatments can be done after 4 to 6 months to retain the results, depending on the client’s skin quality.

When should I come back for a check-up?

The best result is obtained if you come back after 1 month for a second session. This session also includes a check-up.

The result

After the treatment, the skin will restore itself at a very fast pace. The results of the Profhilo treatment are therefore visible very quickly. After you already see a slight improvement straight away, the skin restoration and regeneration will continue for a few months more. Your skin will only look better and better.
