Skin cancer is the most common type of cancer in the world. And in Europe, the Netherlands is the leader. That is certainly not something to be proud of. It is expected that one in five Dutch people will develop a form of skin cancer in their lifetime. Margot de Nennie (Skin Therapist): “We also increasingly see clients at the office with too much sun damage. We feel called to contribute to raising awareness of the damage caused by the sun and what the consequences may be.”
“Every day, we skin therapists work to make the largest organ, the skin, healthier and more beautiful. We are trained and trained to detect premature signs of sun damage or aktinic keratosis. Our approach not only consists of treatments in the salon, but also professional skincare at home”, Sabrina Hoefdraad.
Fleur Dwars (Skin Therapist): “Prevention is better than cure. Wear UV protection or sunscreen every day. Not just when you sunbathe, but when you come into contact with daylight. Go to the shade in the summer or on a sunny vacation, between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. And, in addition, wear protective clothing. Because skin that is too sunburned is not healthy. ”
